The police have arrested two people in connection with an attempted vehicle break in on March 2nd. These arrests come during Brighton police’s crackdown on the city’s vehicle crime.
Police were called to Lilac Court, London Road, Patcham, at around 1.40am on Friday (March 2nd), when two men were seen trying to break into cars in the site’s parking area. The men had already left when police arrived, but after a search of the surrounding area officers arrested two men.
A 21-year-old and a 17-year-old boy, both from Brighton were arrested. The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon; and the 17-year-old on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a class A drug and going equipped for theft.
Both suspects have been released but remain under investigation.
Officers are are appealing for any information about this attempted vehicle theft. If you can help identify these two men who tried to get into a van parked in Brighton, report it to the police immediately.
