A few months ago, Bjournal interviewed David Brooker, the brains behind Brighton’s Blink Experience, about the blindfolded dinner experience he was bringing to our city. The events were such a success that the Blink Experience is back in 2016 with some great events at the gorgeous Stanmer House.
This February they are hosting two events over the Valentines period, an evening for singles on the 12th and an evening for friends, groups and couples on the 13th. The experience will begin as soon as you enter the ‘Lady Anne’ room where you will enjoy a champagne cocktail in front of a roaring open fire. Then you will be blindfolded and taken into the dining room where you will enjoy an incredible three course meal.
Be prepared to ‘expect the unexpected during your meal as our specially trained guides and poetic compere navigate you on a journey and exploration into a bizarre and adventurous world of hilarity, human connection and sensory awakening. You will feel your body come to life as you let go and engage in your environment through sound, smell, touch, taste and potentially much more’. You will then get to the third part of the experience, otherwise known as ‘The Awakening’, of which nothing is revealed.
Once this is over, you can head to the Sword and Buckle Bar and Library to reflect and enjoy a few drinks. Guests and critics have raved about the experience and have said “A bloody brilliant evening, very surreal. I recommend everyone try it!”. To find out more about the events, head here. You can also read our interview with David in which we go into more depth about the creation of the Blink Experience.
