Brighton is hosting the worlds only Wes Anderson themed festival for a second-year running. As an added bonus this year, one of the stars from the films will be attending!
Wes Anderson is an American filmmaker known for his “distinctive visual and narrative styles”. He is the genius behind Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr Fox and most recently The Isle Of Dogs. He has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture and the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay. All of these great achievements have created a massive fan-base for Wes and let to the creation of Wes Fest – a festival dedicated purely to his films.
Wes Fest brings you three days of Wes Anderson themed events, ranging from immersive film sets, live bands and DJs playing soundtracks, an outdoor garden party, big movie screenings, dress up and competitions. This year will also include a Q&A session with special guest, Jared Gilman (Sam Shakusky) who is the lead actor from Moonrise Kingdom.
We learned a lot in our first year and are planning to
make this year’s Wes Fest even more spectacular. So let your Tenenbaum
falcon fly, start a petition to save Latin, and get your hands off my
lobby boy, but most importantly run away like Moonrise’s Suzy & Sam to
Brighton’s Wes Fest. Get ready to mix with like minded Wes disciples in
