Wes Fest, a four-day festival celebrating everything Wes Anderson, is heading to Brighton this October, complete with film screenings, a fancy dress evening, a Wes Anderson trivia quiz and more – whether your favourite is The Darjeeling Limited or you’re more of a Fantastic Mr Fox fan, there’s sure to be something for everyone!
Brought to you by Brighton Film Party Society, Wes Fest will begin with the first of the festival’s two intimate Wes Anderson film screenings and will end with an incredible floating finale, which is guaranteed to be the perfect end to Brighton’s first dedicated Wes Anderson festival.
For those really wanting to get into the spirit of the festival, Thursday’s events will give ticket holders the opportunity to peruse the Wes Anderson fancy dress box of dreams – a specially collated selection of items will be available for fans to perfect their Wes themed costumes.
Whilst Saturday’s line up will feature an amazing night of Wes themed music and live DJs, topped off with a fancy dress competition, it is Sunday’s schedule that is sure to be the star of the weekend. Holders of the prestigious Team Zissou Full Festival Ticket, will be able to climb aboard the ‘Bellafonte’, the floating venue for the Steve Zissou themed closing soirée. Guests can sip on a Campari whilst enjoying the second of the weekend’s screenings, and test their knowledge of the director in the themed quiz, or battle for amazing memorabilia in the West Fest Bingo!
