WHAT’S ON IN SEPTEMBER?

Summer is nearly over *cries into ice cream* but as the nights start to draw in, we’ve got plenty to keep you entertained after-dark (and in the daytime too!) this month.

COMEDY

 The Edinburgh Fringe is over and our comedy programme is packed once again!

Our flagship comedy show, Komedia Comedy Club, is here every Friday & Saturday with the best cutting-edge comedy in town. It’s perfect for a double date or – better yet – a big group outing!

Our regular queer & alternative comedy club Down the Hatch (7 Sep) and fast-paced night of fantastic new comedy Comic Boom Comedy Club (25 Sep) also return after their respective summer breaks.

MUSIC

Enjoy piano & electronica from Phildel (3 Sep), all your favourite Oasis hits from tribute band Oasiz (14 Sep), Celtic folk from Brìghde Chaimbeul (19 Sep) and 10cc’s Graham Gouldman performs a broad range of his song-writing catalogue (29 Sep).

CLUB NIGHTS

Looking for late night fun? We’d love to see you at one of our club nights! We’ve got all the biggest rock tunes at Alt Anthems (12 Sep), our Lovers II Friends – 90s/00s Day Party returns (20 Sep), alternative 80s night Spellbound is back with a The Cure Special (20 Sep) and we welcome the first Student Fridays @ Komedia (26 Sep).

Families can enjoy movement and storytelling fun at Story Magic (5, 12 & 19 Sep) and little ones can get crafty at Sticky! (22 & 29 Sep), where they will turn everyday bits and bobs into wonderful masterpieces.

Other events not to be missed include Boss’ Drag Queens Bottomless Brunch (13 Sep), an afternoon with Greg James in celebration of his new book, All the Best for the Future (20 Sep), a journey through the life and work of Sir Terry Pratchett at The Magic of Terry Pratchett (27 Sep), and a chance to browse thousands of great vinyl bargains and collector’s items at our free Record Fair (28 Sep).
