New Love, Alternative Dating Night – Friday 5th October
What to try dating outside of the conventional, existing methods in place? Presuming Ed is hosting a dating night for those merely open to meeting new people, without the awkward icebreakers. New Love welcomes people of all sexualities and genders to create a comfortable, safe, and inclusive dating environment.

Hanover Beer Festival – Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October
This festival, acting as a charity fundraiser, has been bringing some of the most incredible beers to Brighton for over 30 years. The ticket price includes a festival glass, tasting note, and your first pint. All the proceeds go towards the Hanover Community Centre. Tickets are expected to sell out so get them while you can.

Bowiesque – Saturday 6th October
Brighton-based Bowie tribute act, Bowiesque, will be taking to the stag at the Brunswick in Hove to make your weekend. The five-piece band will be performing all of the star’s hit tracks from his great wealth of records, promising to play songs they have not played in a while. Enjoy a sing-a-long and a dance to one of the best Bowie tributes around.

Exploring the Mind of a Psychopath – Saturday 6th October
After success in other areas around the UK, Funzing Talks are coming to Brighton to discuss how psychopathy is manifest in our culture. The evening is composed of a number of unique talks delving into the science behind the motivations of a psychopath. This fascinating subject will be led by Jennifer Rees, a Forensics Lecturer and Psychotherapist, offering insight into the condition.

Brigh10, Brighton and Hove 10 Mile – Sunday 7th October
Back for its fourth year, Brigh10 invites runners of all abilities to take part in one of the most popular running events in the South East. Whether you’re participating or just spectating, the ten-mile run is a wonderful way to spend your Sunday morning. The course will start and finish at Hove Lawns, spanning all the way along the Seafront, down to Madeira Drive and back.

Sea Shepherd UK Brighton Beach Clean – Sunday 7th October
Sea Shepherd UK are coming to Brighton on Sunday and looking for volunteers to join them in their beach clean up for their Marine Debris Campaign. The charity focuses on marine conservation from collecting rubbish and waste on our coastlines to preventing the slaughter of wildlife around the world. Equipment will be provided, but the organisation request you bring a bottle of water, thick gloves, and suitable footwear.
