Brighton & Hove is now awash with Christmas events for people of all ages to enjoy this weekend. We have compiled a list of Christmas ideas for you to take part in with such as fun runs, markets, and a special one-off gig.
Swedish Christmas Market – Friday 7th December
Fancy Christmas shopping this weekend with a bit of a twist? This Christmas market will be offering Swedish Handmade Christmas decorations, candles, Swedish Glögg & Pepparkakor (Wine and Gingersnaps), Julmust (Swedish Fizzy Christmas drink). Handmade gifts will all be available to purchase as a thoughtful present for loved ones this year.

Servants of Science show – Friday 7th December
Servants of Science are returning to their hometown for a special Christmas edition of the show. The show will feature projections and a heap of other visual delights and even include a few one-off song performances. The band will be joined by They Spit Blood for a spectacular show at a discounted price.

Choose Love charity fundraiser – Saturday 8th December
Head to Duke’s Lane this Saturday for their Choose Love Big Charity Fundraiser event. There will be live music, a raffle draw with lots of amazing prizes to be won, with Crumbs Brewing beer on offer while you shop and help fundraise for this amazing charity. Choose Love is a brilliant charity raising money for refugees projects around the world through fundraisers and pop shops to buy essential items for refugees.

Santa Dash – Saturday 8th December
Brighton and Hove’s Santa Dash is returning this weekend, inviting residents to run a 5k race dressed as Santa Clause from the Peace Statue in Hove down to Hove Lagoon and back. There is also a free children’s 400m race for them to take part in. The event is raising money for our chosen charity, Rockinghorse, helping children across Sussex.

The Muppet Christmas Carol – Sunday 9th December
The Muppet Christmas Carol is back in Brighton and Hove for the third year running! There will be free popcorn and mulled cider on offer for a donation at the screening of the film. People are invited to bring deck chairs and wrap up warm for this wonderful community event.

Seagulls’ Festive Fun Run – Sunday 9th December
Join Albion in the Community (AITC) on Sunday for their annual festive fun run at the AMEX stadium. Participants both young and old are invited to take part in the 2k track around the football grounds with hot drinks and mince pies on offer afterwards. Everyone who takes part will finisher will receive a medal and the first 100 children to book a place will also receive an exclusive Albion Christmas scarf, which isn’t available in the club shop.
