Visibility Arts Launch @ Fishing Quarter Gallery, Friday 9th August
Friday marks the launch of Visibility Arts, a week-long celebration of artists with invisible illnesses, disabilities and neuro-divergences. As a collaboration with VisAbility Arts, The Fishing Quarter are hosting the event at their accessible venue right on the seafront. The launch will exhibit the work of 10 artists and will be holding autism-friendly viewings throughout the week. Visitor charities will also be coming in daily to meet and talk with guests.

Brighton Prosecco Festival @ Hilton Brighton Metropole, Friday 9th August
The UK’s biggest Prosecco Festival is coming to Brighton! As of this year, the national festival now features a selection of World Gins as well. Expect a night of prosecco and fizz tasting, as well as a wide array of Italian street food. Remember to bring your dancing shoes, as the Hilton is also hosting live bands throughout the event.

Terrarium Workshop @ Between Two Thorns, Saturday 10th August
Swing by this session in a local plant-shop-meets-cafe. The terrarium workshop at Between Two Thorns is a fantastic opportunity to arrange plants that will thrive in their own little ecosystem. The ticket price includes all the materials and plants needed to make your own terrarium. This immersive workshop is not only a great way to hone a new hobby, but meet new people. Time to get those green thumbs out and get crafting.

Great British Garden Party @ The Stoneham, Saturday 10th August
Head down to The Stoneham this Saturday for an evening of fun in their beautiful flower garden. Rose Lancaster, a jazz singer and vintage vocalist, will be performing sounds of the 1950s from 4pm. With live music, food and cocktails galore, there will definitely be something to please everyone.

Dirty Dancing, Open Air Cinema @ Saltdean Lido, Saturday 10th August
Saltdean Lido are hosting their 7th season of movies under the stars, playing classic films at their unique outdoor location. Before the screening there will be a live music performance as the sun sets. This Saturday’s showing is the timeless coming of age classic, Dirty Dancing, starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze. It promises to be a night of feel-good fun for the whole family.

Portraiture @ Black Eye Hair, Sunday 11th August
Come to the Black Eye Hair salon after hours as they team up with Letgo Life Drawing to bring you an evening of Portraiture. The session makes use of the unique setting’s mirrors and and lighting to inspire your abstract notions and individual drawing style. It will begin with a discussion about the basic principles of portraiture, followed by a number of long poses. Open to both amateurs and experts, this mindful event encourages you to explore your creative side and unwind to the relaxation of drawing.

Brighton Wind Farm and Wildlife Cruise @ Brighton Dolphin Project, Sunday 11th August
Hosted by the Brighton Dolphin Project, this weekly 2 hour wind farm and wildlife cruise lets you witness the Brighton wind farm up close, before heading back towards the Marina. This is an opportunity to witness stunning panoramic views of the Sussex coastline, as well as wildlife including seabirds and wonderful sea creatures. You might even spot a shark or dolphin along the way too. All proceeds fund the Brighton Dolphin Project.

Brunswick Festival’s Rural and Scruff’s Dog Show @ St. Ann’s Well Gardens, Sunday 11th August
The annual Brunswick Festival is back with another day of family fun at St. Ann’s Well Gardens. Come along this Sunday for an atmospheric day of puppet shows, live music, charity stalls and workshops. Highlights include the Scruff’s Dog Show, with categories including “most handsome dog” and “waggiest tail”.
