The well-loved playing fountains at the Level will be opening later than usual this summer. This is because there have been structural repair works on the water tank underground.
During work to prepare the city’s water features for summer, a problem was discovered with the fountains. This means that work has repairs have to be made, which has set the opening date back to the 15th of May. After the work, the water will need to be tested to make sure that it is safe before the fountains can open to the public.
Paddling pools at Saunders Park, Kings Road and Hove Lagoon will still be opening from Saturday the 4th of May. Brighton’s water features are open during the summer months, scheduled at different times until mid-September.
