The culinary scene of the city are celebrating their influence on the UK market after many restaurants received recognition for their quality in the latest AA restaurant guide for 2022.

This, the 28th edition of the publication, continues to provide the local, esteemed diner the opportunity to be guided towards the best places they can go to eat across the entire United Kingdom.

Brighton appears a very commendable 11 times this year, with each establishment being judged on a very strict set of criteria in order to provide the highest of standards.

In the guide, the restaurants are all ranked based on a rosette rating, with 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest commendable score.

Two locations in the city received an outstanding three rosettes score: etch. By Steven Edwards and The Little Fish Market.

Etch. was awarded its high grades due to the modern British cuisine provided by the former winner of Masterchef: The Professionals, where the monthly changing set menus and outstanding classic combinations such as sea bass with cauliflower have set it apart as the restaurant in the city.

The Little Fish Market was recognised for its head chef’s work at renowned restaurants which has created a culture of attention to detail that has translated into stunning local and sustainable seafood that is creative and expressive.

In the next category, 64 Degrees and Isaac At both picked up two rosettes for their top class provisions.

Six further restaurants also featured, with those all receiving an award of one rosette.
