Sharleen Spiteri and Texas are coming to Brighton. The Scottish band will play the Brighton Centre on Tuesday 26 October 2027, bringing almost four decades of hits to the seafront.

Tickets start at £52.50 and go on sale on Friday 30 October 2026 at 10am from www.brightoncentre.co.uk. The show is promoted by SJM.

Four Decades of Hits

Formed in Glasgow in the mid-1980s, Texas burst onto the scene in 1989 with the slide-guitar classic I Don’t Want a Lover. It was the start of one of the most enduring careers in British pop.

Their real breakthrough came with the 1997 album White on Blonde, which went to number one in the UK and produced a run of hits including Say What You Want, Halo and Black Eyed Boy. The follow-up, The Hush, also topped the charts, with Summer Son and In Our Lifetime. Later favourites include Inner Smile and In Demand. Over the years the band has sold tens of millions of records worldwide.

What to Expect

Fronted by Spiteri, one of the most distinctive voices in British music, Texas have built a reputation as a powerful live act. Fans can expect a set packed with the songs that soundtracked the late 1990s and early 2000s, alongside more recent material.

With tickets likely to be in high demand, fans are advised to be ready when sales open on Friday morning.

Brighton Local

The Brighton Centre’s live music calendar is filling up fast. Texas follow a growing list of big names heading to the city, including Kula Shaker at Brighton Dome and Pete Tong opening On The Beach 2027. Closer to home, The Cure’s founding drummer Lol Tolhurst plays The Quarters tomorrow night.
