900 events are due to span across 165 venues for this years Brighton Fringe Festival, one of which being the new venue, Republic. The festival is due to take place from May 6th-June 5th, and Republic will host a variety of events including, comedy, cabaret, burlesque, live music, magicians and more.
The seaside venue, that contains a large outdoor bar area will be headlining the cult all-male cabaret-circus-burlesque (or boylesque) party ‘Briefs’. A “troupe whose mix of burlesque, comedy, cabaret, circus, artistry and anarchy” will fit easily into the Brighton scenery.
If ‘boylesque’ isn’t your thing, don’t worry, because the venue will bring Debra Stephenson from The Impression Show to the stage, performing her hysterical new show, “Night of One Hundred Voices”. Mark Dolan who will be known as the quirky presenter from Balls of Steel has read every self-help book there is to be read so you won’t have to in his pessimistic new show, “This Show Will Change Your Life”.
As well as their night life entertainment, Republic will also be holding events during the day for the family, such as the time travelling magicians, Morgan and West, The Amazing Bubbleman, music from Curious Creatures and much more!
