This weekend is Shoes for Coffee weekend in Brighton! The initiative is supported by local businesses in Brighton and they are giving away free coffee for every pair of winter shoes donated for refugees in Calais.

The initiative Be In Their Shoes is being done via the Hummingbird project (you can read our article on the Hummingbird project here) and they want us to donate shoes to help with the refugee crisis. The shoes should be warm, sturdy and waterproof and in sizes 6-11, or 38-44 in EU sizes. Here are all the places you can donate them, and to grab yourself a free coffee:

29th January: The Real Junk Food Project Brighton (Gloucester Road)

30th January: Infinity Foods Kitchen (Gardner Street)

31st January: Small Batch Coffee Roasters (Norfolk Square and Jubilee Street)

It’s such a simple gesture, but it will mean the world to those suffering in Calais. Plus, you get a free coffee and who can say no to that?!
