The People’s Festival is a first time event in Brighton, taking place over on Hove Lawns this Sunday at 12. A brand new festival is launching this Sunday, and it’s completely free!

Offering an “invitation to everyone in the community” to go over to  the lawns for what will be a great celebration of art and culture in the city, The People’s Festival looks set to be a really entertaining day out.

Aiming to provide a platform for local talent as well as showcasing local chefs skills, The People’s Festival will have it all. Poetry, music and other entertainments will all be there and as I’ve mentioned, it’s free. Everyone is welcome at the festival as they try to create a completely unique day for the city, one that hasn’t been seen before.

Only some of what is available! Via Facebook.

The idea behind the festival is to bring people together, and it’s being run on a volunteer basis so if you would like to offer any help do get in contact with the organisers. Even if you want to just go and enjoy the day, there will be loads of great food available by local chefs dedicating their time to the day – so if you’re a bit hungover from the night before there will surely be something there to help!

If you fancy a day out in what (I just checked) is supposed to be a sunny afternoon then go to Hove Lawns to take in some local music and entertainment – and support a brand new festival aiming to work wonders with the city.
