Dog of Man release their new single ‘Turpentine’ on September 28th, with a video featuring a shopping trolley banger race filmed at Black Rock followed by a show on Oct 1st at the Gladstone, Brighton.

“Now you’re in a burning building and they’re asking you what you would like to eat.”

The opening line from Dog of Man’s new single hints at the panic that everyone tries to keep under wraps. Yet ‘Turpentine’ is an upbeat slice of indie/grunge that offers redemption alongside some heavily distorted accordion. It sees the band at their most breezy and melodic, even if the song is a celebration of shared anxiety.

The single is released next month with a video depicting a demolition derby involving abandoned shopping trolleys. A crowd gathers in a colourful wasteland where vehicles are lovingly crafted from discarded junk and then destroyed. It’s an extreme and absurd ritual that needs to happen for the same reason that Dog of Man play gigs.

Dog of Man are a psych punk band from Bristol and Brighton who have toured in Europe and brought their energetic live show to festivals in the UK, Croatia and the Netherlands. ‘Turpentine’ is the second single from their forthcoming album ‘Everything is Easy’, released later in October.

Dog of Man are playing a trio of video launch parties:

Sept 30th – The Crown & Sceptre, Stroud

Oct 1st – The Gladstone, Brighton

Oct 2nd – The Royal George, London
