Last year’s Fringe featured the new ‘Dutch season’, that showcased the best events from the Amsterdam Fringe festival. It also saw the return of the ever popular late-night Fringe City, a one-night extravaganza featuring pop up bars, food stalls and a huge main stage.

The 2017 Brighton Fringe ran for almost a months, and featured 1,070 individual events! These included more than 200 completely free events, so no excuses if you’re on a tight budget! The locations stretched over 155 locations across England, with over 555,000 people attending overall.

The Fringe is committed to showcasing new talent and small projects that get the opportunity to be picked up by promoters and brought on to Edinburgh! Anyone has the chance to create a project for the Brighton Fringe, the open arts event provides a platform for all kinds of innovative performance. The Fringe include both the most experienced entertainers, and those who have never performed in front of a crowd, so don’t be afraid to get involved if you are an aspiring artist.
