The defender struggled for first-team opportunities last season
Speculation has surrounded the future of Brighton and Hove Albion’s out of favour Connor Goldson.
The 25-year-old defender only joined the club from Shrewsbury Town in 2015.
Goldson signed a four-year contract when he signed for the club.
However, the defender managed a measly 3 league appearances in 2017/18.
Steven Gerrard, the new Rangers manager, has placed the unsettled defender high on his wish-list.
It is believed that Goldson is keen to work alongside the former Liverpool and England captain.
The promise of a place in the starting line-up will be highly appealing.

A range of sources, including the Scottish Sun and the Express, seem to believe that Gerrard’s side have agreed a fee.
It is believed that Albion will accept the latest bid of £3.5 million.
They also want to include some potential performance clauses which would see the club make further profit.
Albion are linked with a range of defenders, as the side look to solidify their squad.
The club recently acquired the services of highly-rated defender Leon Balogun on a free-transfer.
They will want to maintain a strong squad depth for their sophomore season in the Premier League.
