In a new report conducted by a leading financial service, Brighton has been found to be one of the most luxurious cities across the entire United Kingdom.

In the report by Money.co.uk, the report discussed Brighton as the seventh most luxurious city, indicating that despite lacking some amenities of bigger cities, the dining provisions set it only below London in terms of providing high quality options and its ownership of Michelin stars.

Particular focus was placed on the seafront, highlighting Murmur, The Salt Room and other establishments as providing incredible signature dishes that are well renowned and constantly changing as new specials are released.

Brighton’s placing was determined due to the fact that despite the food, it did not possess the other features that would gain it a higher score such as having no five-star hotel and there being only one designer store throughout the whole city.

These could be some key considerations for the council going forward if they wish to create a more upmarket tourist destination in the future.

The rankings found that Glasgow, Bristol and Oxford all featured ahead of Brighton, with Bath, Cardiff and Leeds all coming below in 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.

The top three consisted of London, Manchester and Birmingham, with them sharing 628 different luxury establishments such as The Ritz, The Savoy and The Shangri-la.

As the leader, London was found to play host to 156 five-star hotels, with 100 designer stores and 372 Michelin starred restaurants.
