December calls for new and updated ways to transform your wardrobe this month. Whether it be a standout accessory, a bold, long coat or something you wouldn’t normally wear, Brighton is the place to brave standing out in the crowd. We hit the streets to see what other style tips and tricks we can use to revamp our outfits this Winter.

Anna and Maeve

First up, was the stylish duo Anna and Maeve from Belfast. Anna was dressed in a long, fluffy black coat from a charity shop in Belfast, that combined style and warmth on a chilly Monday afternoon. She teamed this with flared blue jeans from ASOS for a slight Seventies vibe and trainers to complete the look. Maeve wore a red cardigan from Brandy Melville for a pop of colour underneath a black fleece and paired this with long, beige corduroy trousers and trusty Doc Martens. They both said their main source of fashion inspiration is from Instagram.

We loved Michelle’s stylish Winter outfit which was perfect for doing a spot of shopping on her holidays. She wore a fitted, faux fur-lined tan jacket from River Island with skinny black jeans and boots. She found her chic red beret (adorned with delicate little gems) in a local shop in her hometown. Michelle’s favourite place to buy clothes and accessories are boutiques rather than high street shops, and her style inspiration is the iconic Marilyn Monroe.

Fiona’s baroque-influenced, patterned gold and black trousers from Zara really caught our eye. She teamed the culotte trousers with a grey knit turtleneck and a sleek, buttoned black coat that was originally Karen Millen but Fiona bought it from TK Max. Her bag was from the 60’s iconic fashion brand Biba and her flatform boots (which she says are a staple for Winter) were Doc Martens. One of her main style inspirations is fashion model Emma Louise-Connolly who has a huge Instagram following at just under 400k followers.
