Leading outdoor retailer Blacks has reopened its newly refit Brighton store, unveiling a refined, design‑led retail space that reflects the brand’s elevated identity for 2026.
Spanning 3,416 square feet, the updated store presents a clean, modern environment with an improved layout and curated visual storytelling, showcasing a carefully crafted product range focused on performance, quality and contemporary design.
The Blacks Brighton team of 10 expertly trained colleagues provide tailored advice across footwear, apparel, equipment and local outdoor routes.
The refit store brings together a refined edit of premium outdoor brands, including Rab, Columbia, The North Face, Berghaus, Merrell, Salomon, Fjällräven and Yeti, with ranges selected for technical innovation and an emphasis on how they look and perform in the outdoors.
Alongside its seasonal edits, Blacks will also introduce regular new product drops, ensuring there is always something new for customers to discover.
To mark the reopening, Blacks will host an exclusive two-day launch event designed to bring the local outdoor community together.
The Brighton store will host a launch evening on Friday 29th May, offering customers the opportunity to explore the new space, discover the latest product edits, and secure first come, first served giveaways from top brands, including Sweaty Betty and YETI. There will also be drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), sweet treats and a DJ to liven the atmosphere.
This will be followed by a community hike early summer, giving customers the chance to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and explore nearby landscapes together.
Attendance for both events will be ticketed, with limited places available. Customers are required to secure their place in advance via Eventbrite: Register interest and follow Blacks on Instagram for the community hike announcement.
To coincide with the Friday event, a one-night only 15% discount across most departments will offer customers something extra to mark the launch.
