Two teams. One ref. No script. Lots of laughs! Award-winning comedy show for all ages comes to Brighton Fringe! You’ve seen football, you’ve seen tennis, but have you ever seen comedy as a sport?

ComedySportz is an award-winning competitive comedy show that all ages will enjoy. The fully improvised show sees two teams go for gold with gags, games, sketches and songs inspired by audience suggestions. The players have ironed their kits and sharpened their wits for some fast and funny family friendly comedy. There’s a referee on hand to ensure a good clean match with penalties for bad behaviour and bad jokes. Don’t miss the festival’s funniest family friendly fixture when it comes to The Walrus this Fringe.

This is a Pay What You Can show meaning audiences can book a ticket in advance to guarantee a seat or turn up on the day and make a donation at the end if they wish or are able to do so. “We want comedy to be accessible to everyone,” says ComedySportz ‘referee’ Brainne Edge. “Paying for a ticket in advance helps us to afford to perform at festivals but we don’t want to price out audiences either – especially family’s that might need to buy several tickets.”

The team have been delighting audiences of all ages with their quick-witted brand of gags and games since 2001. The group won the accolade of “Best Alternative Act” at the North-West Comedy Awards in 2022. The show is great fun for audiences of all ages with plenty of opportunities for the audience to get involved in the fun. Brainne adds, “It’s completely unscripted and totally unmissable. Who wins? YOU decide!”
