D.I.Y. Art Market, brings together a community of creatives and provides visitors the opportunity to discover and take home unique pieces that include – art prints, ceramics, zines, independent publications, risograph prints, lo-fi sculptures, jewellery, sewn items, screen prints, and artist books.
The event will showcase a curated selection of over 80 emerging artists, and independent publishers, exhibiting alongside some more established names, all from a wide range of artistic backgrounds, and all of whom demonstrate an innovative approach to their practise.
Mark Farhall curates the events, selecting talented emerging artists from a wide range of artistic backgrounds, all of whom demonstrate an innovative and adventurous approach to their practise.
Mark is both a nationally and internationally published artist, (including Café Royal Books, and PictureBox Inc), had drawings shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize (2010, 2015), given drawing workshops at The Jerwood Space, London, and at The National Gallery’s Bridget Riley exhibition.
DIYAM has been featured in numerous publications and blogs including Hero Magazine, People of Print, Fred Perry Subcultures, ASOS, TimeOut London, Creative Boom, Elle UK, Deer Brains, The Metro, The Evening Standard, and many more.
The event will take place at The Old Market, 11a Upper Market, Brighton, BN3 1AS, from 11.00 till 18.00 on Sunday 26 Nov.
