Enjoy an Evening of Vintage Shopping in The Name of Charity

Brighton’s Cancer Research UK store invites you to join them for a glamorous evening of vintage shopping, live music and make-overs at their upcoming ‘A Vintage Affair’ evening on 1st November – it’s charity shop shopping but not as you know it!

 

The evening will feature a showcase of the store’s finest vintage and retro clothing, shoes and accessories, all available to purchase – think quirky costume jewellery, vintage inspired coats and Gatsby-esque dresses. The stores regular items will also be available on the evening, including  some interesting Bric a Brac and collectable items, as well as some exciting Christmas gifts.

 

Enjoy a glass of wine whilst you search for vintage goodies

 

For those of you into all things vintage, the experience extends further than just material items: guests will have the opportunity to undergo a make-over by artists from Smashbox, as well as try out a new vintage hair do courtesy of stylist Isla Brown. Of course, shopping is thirsty work so sparkling wine, and non-alcoholic tipples, as well as nibbles. Entertainment will also be provided throughout the evening, in the form of live music.

 

All profits from this event will go directly Cancer Research UK, to fund their life saving research, which over the last 40 years has helped to double the survival rate of cancer patients. The charity employs an impressive 4,000 doctors, scientists and nurses across the country, all of whom rely on your funding to continue their work, as the charity does not receive a penny of government funding. This number includes scientists working at Brighton Hospital, whose work focusses on finding ways to prevent cells from become cancerous through their research into DNA.

 

A Vintage Affair will take place on Thursday 1st November, from 5.30 – 8pm, and is completely free to enter. The Brighton Cancer Research UK store is located at 43/44 Western Road, Brighton, BN1 2EB.
