If you love running and have no problem getting out of bed in the early hours of the day, then this event is for you. On Friday, the popular 5.30 Run is coming to Brighton giving passionate runners the chance to discover the city in a totally different atmosphere.

Participants will meet around 5 am at New Road on Friday morning before the actual run starts, as you may have guessed, at 5.30 am. The event is open to everyone who wants to join as the short and easily accessible 5K city run doesn’t require any special abilities.

Coming to Brighton for the first time, 5.30 Brighton will be the first running event to take participants through the Royal Pavilion Gardens. Already a really nice setting during the day, the gardens will surely look amazing at dusk. The circular course will take the runners back to New Road where a healthy breakfast with fresh seasonal fruits and parmesan cheese will wait behind the finish line.

The 5.30 Run is a lifestyle project that originated in the city of Modena before expanding all over Italy and other European countries such as the UK. The project aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and to show people the benefits of going for an early morning run.

All you need to do to take part in the event is to register online (registration closes on Thursday at 8 pm) and, of course, get out of bed early on the day. Entry fee is £18 for adults and £16 for kids and includes a goodie bag and breakfast. For updated information, check out the Facebook event page.
