This Father’s Day, 18th June, around 10,000 riders will take on the mammoth 54 miles from Clapham Common to Brighton Seafront in aid of the British Heart Foundation’s life saving research.

Those riding for the BHF will pedal to power new medical breakthroughs in heart and circulatory diseases. Amongst these riders are those who have lost loved ones, are living with conditions themselves or who have a personal goal to push themselves through this beautiful but challenging cycle route.

Sadly, heart and circulatory disease cause around a quarter of all deaths in the UK; that is more than 160,000 deaths each year, or 460 each day which is one death every three minutes.

As well as those supporting the BHF, 21 charity partners including WWF, UNHCR, Dementia UK will be taking part in the BHF’s London to Brighton Bike Ride. This will help to raise vital funds for charities all over the UK.
