‘From cod in Camden to batter in Brighton, brand new chip shop comedy FRYDAYS is back after  rave reviews! Find out what all the huss is about…’

Turning Hatts Productions brings ★★★★ musical comedy FRYDAYS to new shores! After  performing at Camden People’s Theatre in 2022, FRYDAYS returns as part of the theatre’s Spring  to Komedia Brighton as part of The Brighton Fringe 3 June at 9pm, 4 June at 4pm. Following the success of their London debut last last year, FRYDAYS was awarded a  Brighton Fringe Staff Bursary Award and will perform at Komedia Brighton in June. Set in a chippy  in Brighton, FRYDAYS features 10 different characters, 10 musical instruments, marigold hats and  a chest freezer. Starring Madeline Hatt (actor and voice over and runner up in the BBC Carleton  Hobbs Radio Award 2017) and Louis Turner (actor and BAFTA Qualifying writer and director).

Madeline Hatt is an actor, writer and voice over artist. Her credits include- BBC Radio’s ‘20,000  Leagues Under the Sea’ and ‘Orpheus and Eurydice: Transformations’. Theatre credits  include-‘Jane Eyre’ UK tour [This Is My Theatre], ‘The Maids’ [Rough Brow Theatre], ‘Much Ado  About Nothing’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’[Split Second Productions]. She is currently in  post-production for her debut Short Film ‘Room for One’ which is to be released later this year.  Louis Turner is an actor, writer, director and musician, his writing and directing credits include  ‘Bluebells on the Mountain’ [Short Film] BAFTA Qualifying Carmarthen Bay Film Festival 2021, ‘Backbone’ [Play] Radio-play produced by Chichester Festival Theatre and Winner of their 5 Day Play competition. Louis has recently  completed training in screenwriting at National Film and Television School. The two met at  Guildford School of Acting in 2014 and founded their production company by combining their  comedic surnames, making ‘Turning Hatts Productions’.

‘Louis Turner and Madeline Hatt write and star as twins; Chris and Chriss, whose father owns the  world famous fish and chip shop; FRYDAYS. That was until he died one year ago. Since then Chris  and Chriss have dealt with this in a rather unusual way, by locking themselves inside a freezer and  refusing to engage with the outside world. Inside the freezer they play games and act out stories to  entertain themselves. On their surreal and imaginary adventures they meet an array of bizarre  characters including psychic Scouser Crystal, the legendary Friar of Fysh and the evil Fryer’s Union  (F.U.). However it always goes back to one thing, saving the fish and chip shop! Wacky, wonderful  and weird, FRYDAYS is an absurd musical comedy about family, fears and fish and chips. Always  with a song to help things along, FRYDAYS will have your bodies bopping and the laughs never  stopping.’
