Jay Jayle @ The Prince Albert, Monday 29th April
Jay Jayle have been described as ‘a tapestry of neo-folk‘, whilst also including sounds of blues, indie-rock and tangerine dream.
Louisville based singer Evan Patterson embraces storytelling in his lyrics, alongside
Todd Cook: bass, Neal Argabright: on drums, and Corey Smith: auxiliary instrumentation.

Billie Marten @ Resident Brighton, Tuesday 30th April
Billie Marten has been turning heads with her evocative folk sound, which ‘demonstrates wisdom beyond her years‘. Her new album ‘Feeding Seahorses By Hand’ is due to be released next week, and to celebrate she’s coming to Resident Brighton for a performance and in-store signing. Give her a listen.

Mystic Rain Frogs @ The Green Door Store, Wednesday 1st of May
Brighton-based psychedelic rock band Mystic Rain Frogs, previously known as Hake, will be joined by Stone Cold Fiction and Tundra Love at The Green Door Store this Wednesday for the start of Freeze Over, a new rock event.

Blackfeather // Preacher // Gutterflower @ The Prince Albert, Thursday 2nd May
Head down to the Prince Albert this Thursday for an array of musical talent. Blackfeather is a Brighton based punk-metal band, specializing in old school rifts that ‘pack a powerful punch’. Three piece punk rock band Preacher will be showcasing distorted guitar tones, hard-hitting drum beats, and a general punk/grunge attitude. Gutterflower and Trench are also performing.

Ladyfuzz Fest @ The Green Door Store, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of May
Ladyfuzz is a creative collective which was founded in Brighton in 2015. It aims to showcase all women, non-binary and gender non-conforming creatives through a zine. They are hosting a festival at the Green Door Store, from Friday to Saturday, that will hold a range of talent, Slow Crush, Big Joanie and Instant Bin to name a few.

An Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre @ The Arch, Saturday 4th May
No Strings Attached are presenting a live orchestral rendition of DR DRE: 2001. One of the UK’s leading orchestras will perform the album from start to finish, accompanied by DJ’s, singers and lyricists. “This is the combination of a traditional Orchestra merging with a modern live hip-hop music event.” Tickets are on last release.

The ShowHawk Duo @ Concorde 2, Sunday 5th May
The ShowHawk duo have been blowing audiences away in with their approach to playing the guitar, with their sound described as ‘breaking the barriers between acoustic and electronic music’. They are performing at Concorde for their biggest tour to date, expect anthems, crazy guitar licks and alot of subwoofer!
