For Brighton-based tap dance group TapTastik, the dream of winning Britain’s Got Talent is over. In yesterday’s semi-finals, the crew couldn’t convince the four judges to let them into this weekend’s finals.

Like after their audition, the judges’ opinions were mixed, with Simon saying that TapTastik probably had a better time than he did while Amanda, Alesha and David were marveling about their entertaining potential and the way TapTastik incorporates what BGT is all about, people having a big dream.

However, their golden glitter jackets and their well rehearsed 1920’s inspired routine didn’t persuade the audience who failed to give them enough votes to put them through to the finals. It was little Issy Simpson and magician Matt Edwards who will pursue their dream of winning this year’s BGT.

Far from being disappointed, TapTastik group leader Andrew Wood said it was an incredible experience for them and that they were proud to have made it to semi-finals.
