Henry Moore After Hours Kew Gardens is exactly what it sounds like — and then some.
On four evenings across late June and early July, the iconic Temperate House at Kew Gardens transforms after dark into something genuinely unlike anything else on the summer cultural calendar. Dusk falls. The Victorian glasshouse glows. And Rambert School dancers move among Moore’s sculptures in a collaboration that feels both inevitable and entirely new.
If you are looking for a reason to make the journey from Brighton to Kew this summer, this is it.
Henry Moore After Hours Kew Gardens — What’s On
Co-curated with the Working-Class Creatives Database, the After Hours evenings bring together live performance, sculpture and one of the most spectacular architectural spaces in England.
Rambert School — one of the UK’s most respected contemporary dance schools — perform in direct response to Moore’s sculptures across the Temperate House. The result is a collision of movement, light, glass and bronze that cannot be experienced anywhere else this summer.
Each evening runs from 7pm to 10.30pm and is strictly over 18s only. Advance booking is essential.

Henry Moore: Monumental Nature — The Exhibition
The After Hours evenings are part of Henry Moore: Monumental Nature — the landmark exhibition running at Kew Gardens until 31 January 2027.
Featuring 30 sculptures placed across Kew’s 320 acres alongside a gallery exhibition of over 90 works in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, this is the largest and most comprehensive showcase of Moore’s work ever presented. Already described as “the show of the summer” by The Times, the exhibition spans bronzes, stone and wood carvings, prints and drawings — including major and rarely seen works from collections including Tate and the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.
