Last year, Swedish fashion powerhouse H&M launched 700 beauty products last spring, and now they’re looking to expand even further. They have announced this week that they will be releasing a brand new 30-piece line of eco-friendly cosmetics, skin care and hygiene products.

In a statement, H&M beauty concept designer Sara Wallander said “We already offer conscious choices with our fashion collections so it is natural for us to have the same offering within our beauty collection…we always aim to develop our products to high and responsible standards in both materials and production. With the Conscious range we have taken this philosophy even further. We are very proud to now be able to offer organic beauty to our customers”. There will be products such as aluminium-free deodorants, natural face masks, dry shampoo and tinted lip balm, all in recycled or recyclable packaging.

All the products are Ecocert-approved, with organic certification as well as approved responsible standards taken in production. All the ingredients are certified organic ingredients such as aloe vera, white tea, jojoba oil and shea butter. The launch of these products coincides with the launch of their new Conscious Exclusive Collection, which is the latest instalment of the brand’s sustainably produced H&M Conscious fashion line. The products are to begin to trickle into stores next week, with the full line being launched towards the end of March.

It’s often hard to find organic and environmentally friendly beauty products that are also at affordable prices, so this line should prove extremely popular.
