The first ever Hove Food Trail – a celebration of the vibrant and varied food and drink brands which make Hove an ever-growing dining destination – is launching in July, with support from headline sponsor Moda Living, the leading developer operator of rental communities which will be opening the doors of its Moda, Hove Central neighbourhood later this year.

Debuting for the first time between 6 – 8 July, the Hove Food Trail invites ticketholders to explore the city and sample exclusive plates from the finest restaurants in town one after each other, all in aid of raising money for the Hove-based charity Off The Fence, which specialise in restoring the lives and hopes of the homeless, women in difficulty and vulnerable children across Brighton & Hove.

The Hove Food Trail has been founded by David Toscano, owner of restaurant brand Cin Cin, as well as Brighton & Hove City Councillor 2019 – 2023 Chris Henry, to deliver a never-before-seen event for the area. The debut Trail, brought to life through Moda Living’s sponsorship, includes 10 of the area’s must try restaurants, including Cin Cin, Nostos, Wild Flor, Slam Tacos, Fatto a Mano, Fourth & Church, Fika, Carne and The Ginger Pig before wrapping at Rockwater.

David Toscano, founder of Cin Cin and Hove Food Trail, said: “The 2023 Hove Food Trail will showcase the best Hove has to offer as a dining destination.  Since we opened Cin Cin on Western Road in 2018, the food and drink offering in Hove has got better and better year on year so now is the perfect time to bring it all together in one event to support our community.  We can’t wait to share the best of Hove with everyone and raise much needed funds for Off The Fence along the way.”

Peter Kyle, MP said: “The Hove Food Trail brings together everything there is to love about Hove; our community and the people within it. It is this value which we see prominent across all Moda Living activity and something we also support. The event will offer all the chance to experience the best restaurants Hove has to offer, all for a spectacular cause.”

Lydia Eustace, Marketing Director at Moda Living, said: “At Moda Living we’re on a mission to create the happiest and healthiest communities in the UK, with great food, wonderful company and exciting neighbourhoods to explore all playing a major role. As a long-term neighbour to our surrounding communities, we’re also committed to partnering with, and working alongside, local independent businesses. The Hove Food Trail aligns perfectly with all of these values and we can’t wait for people to discover the incredible restaurants and talented chefs being showcased in the local area.”

Opening for reservations later this year, Moda, Hove Central will be a multigenerational neighbourhood featuring more than 820 new homes for rent, 564 of which will be build-to-rent apartments. Around 60% of the new neighbourhood on Sackville Road is made up of new landscaped public realm and amenities including cafes and retail offerings, all professionally managed by Moda to curate a safe, clean district for the Hove community to enjoy.

Residents at Moda, Hove Central will also benefit from a range of on-site amenities, including substantial areas of communal space, beautiful panoramic views from the residents’ sky lounge, and health and wellbeing facilities. Five roof terraces will boast unprecedented views over the Hove seafront and the South Downs National Park, while facilities including cinema and gaming rooms, private dining spaces, co-working areas, 24/7 gym and studios and more will help residents build the ultimate rental lifestyle around their new home.

The Hove Food Trail will be taking place between Thursday 6th July – Saturday 8th July and tickets start from £15 plus booking fee, available here.
