I’m Sorry Prime Minister Brighton arrives this July — and it is the West End political comedy we have been waiting for.
About the Show
From Jonathan Lynn, BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, comes the long-awaited conclusion to the story of Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey Appleby.
Jim Hacker — played by Simon Rouse — is back. Older, perhaps not wiser, and still utterly baffled by the real world. Hoping for a quiet retirement at Hacker College, Oxford, he instead finds himself cancelled by the college committee.
Enter Sir Humphrey Appleby — played by Clive Francis — who has lost none of his love for bureaucracy, Latin phrases and well-timed obstruction. Can Humphrey outmanoeuvre the meddling students and the Fellowship? Or is it finally time to say “I’m Sorry Prime Minister”?
The Telegraph calls it “enjoyable, nostalgic, poignant — it brings the house down.” The Times says “memories of a perfect TV show came flooding back.”
