Familiar and specially-created prints by celebrated artist and cofounder of Finger Lickin’ Records, Jem Panufnik, will be featured in an exhibition at Hotel Pelirocco from 9th April to 4th June 2020. The exhibition will be open daily from 11am to 11pm.

Finger Lickin’ Records is a world-renowned dance music label founded in the late-90’s for which Panufnik has created iconic artwork and grooves.

His work is collectable and well-recognised in club culture, and comes in the form of t-shirts, posters, record sleeves, posters, animations, beer labels, band logos, and even tattoos!

The prints featured in the upcoming exhibition are a series of “subverted scenes and corrupted pleasures” in which Jem incorporates witty surrealism in some classic landmarks, with Brighton being his latest focus.

After having collections staged in London and San Francisco, he’s looking forward to a more intimate exhibition at Hotel Pelirocco for his Brighton-centric selection, which includes past and present work.

Panufnik is no stranger to the art-meets-rock n’ roll lifestyle, so the decision to stage his exhibition at Hotel Pelirocco, which has hosted the likes of Fatboy Slim, Don Letts, and Scissor Sisters, was a no brainer.

The Grand Opening Party will be on Thursday 9th April from 6pm until 11pm. Gilded Pleasures DJ Tony Slackshot will be providing the soundtrack, and there will be drinks courtesy of Bedlam Brewery.
