Jen Brister is back with her new show ‘The Optimist’. With 39 dates across the Uk and Ireland this is set to be her biggest tour yet. She will appear in Brighton at the Komedia on the 23/01/23
If Jen Brister has learned anything in the past 18 months, it’s that she’s no good in a crisis. (Unless you count getting into the foetal position in under 30 seconds.) Has the pandemic changed her for the better or is she the same old pessimistic naysayer she’s always been? I think we all know the answer to that. Let’s just hope she can make it funny.
Jen Brister is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian and writer who has been seen on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, QI and Mock the Week. She is a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has written7 solo shows which she has performed at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival and toured extensively around the UK. Her book, a comedy memoir, “The Other Mother” was published by Square Peg in 2019.
Jen’s stand up show “Meaningless’ can be streamed on Soho Comedy Live. Next Up and Amazon Prime while her special , ‘Waves’ for BBC Radio 4 can be streamed on BBC Sounds.
A brand new comedy short, “Past Caring” written by Jen and Rosie Jones will be aired on SKY TV later this year.
