The dreaded coronavirus has hit the United Kingdom extremely hard. Many companies have had to cancel events, meetings and limit face-to-face interactions.
One of the biggest changes that the majority of the population is making is that they are currently having to work from home. Moving your job to your house can be difficult for a lot of businesses for many reasons.
It’s a strain on your work life balance as you never end up feeling like you have never truly left work. You get cabin fever easily as you are confined to the house for more hours of the day and going outside seems like a scary option right now. Plus, communication between yourself and the team can be a little off as you are so used to working alongside one another.
Don’t worry, we feel like this too. You’re not alone.
However, what probably has to be the biggest change, is how you interact with clients. Going out to get a coffee or having a meeting over a pub lunch has suddenly become a health risk and is in everyones benefits to avoid.
So, what is the best way to be interacting with clients?
In this blog post, we will be discussing:
- Webinars and Online Events
- How to Utilise Messaging Platforms
- Emails Blasts & How They Can Help
- Moving all events online!
Webinar & Online Events
It is important to abide by the guidelines set in place to keep everyone safe. The coronavirus has postponed or even cancelled many events.
However, what if we told you there was a way to keep all of your events going?
No one would have to leave their house or come face-to-face with anyone. There would be no chance that anyone would be put at risk of getting ill and no one would even have to spend any money on travel.
The answer? Webinars.
Rather than cancelling or postponing an event, you could host it online. You could bring together all the people you would have invited to a physical event and hold it as a webinar.
People from all over could attend, it wouldn’t be a risk to their health and it would even be a cheaper option.
All your attendees would need is a laptop or smartphone and a decent internet connection.
How to Utilise Messaging Platforms.
We are lucky enough to live in a time where there are so many different types of communication methods.
Whilst we are living in lockdown, it’s important to stay in contact with all of your clients. You can do that easily through direct messaging channels such as Slack, Whatsapp and Skype. This will allow you to keep clients up to date, nurture your relationship with them and continue to work on their account.
Slack is a popular choice as you can create a channel for every client or business you are working with. However, for instant communication, apps like Whatsapp are great!
Email Blast & How They Can Help
Being able to quickly get into contact with clients is important but also letting potential clients know that your company is still functioning, even if your team is working from home, is also vital.
An email blast is a great way to do this.
By sending an email blast to all of your existing and potential clients acknowledging the current situation, it will reassure them. Communication is one of the key components in running a Digital Marketing agency, especially in times of uncertainty.
Moving all events online!
As a Digital Marketing company, we find ourselves holding and being a part of many events for the brands we work alongside.
Sadly, a lot of those events have been cancelled or postponed which can be detrimental to a young, new brand. As a Digital Marketing agency, it is important to keep the brand’s journey moving forward.
That’s where our virtual event space comes in!
Here at Solution17, we have developed a platform where people can all come together and celebrate events within the safety of their own home.
Recently, the team has thrown one of the biggest online gin tasting events, where over 100 people signed up to attend and drink a couple of classic cocktails with their favourite gin brands.
If you have an event coming up which you can’t attend, you can contact us now for more information regarding our customisable online event space.
