The full bill is in: Love Supreme Festival 2026 returns to Glynde Place in East Sussex from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July, with Ezra Collective, Loyle Carner and De La Soul leading Europe’s largest outdoor jazz festival. Sitting just eight miles from Brighton, it’s effectively a home festival for the city’s music lovers — and the 2026 programme spans jazz, soul, funk and R&B across three full days.
The headliners
Mercury Prize winners Ezra Collective headline Friday night and curate the opening day under their Temple of Joy banner, bringing together artists who reflect their collaborative ethos. Saturday belongs to Loyle Carner, making his Love Supreme debut in the headline slot — his jazz-infused hip-hop a near-perfect fit for a festival built on the meeting point of jazz and contemporary Black music. Sunday closes with alternative hip-hop pioneers De La Soul, performing their only full-band UK show of 2026.
Programming Director Barney Dufton said the 2026 edition celebrates the full spectrum of jazz, soul and beyond, from legends and global stars to the next generation of talent.
Across the weekend
The depth is where Love Supreme always earns its reputation. Soul, funk and R&B heritage comes via The Temptations & The Four Tops, Sister Sledge, Gabrielle, Lemar, Loose Ends, Light of the World and Free Nationals, while the jazz programme runs deep with Samara Joy, esperanza spalding, Kokoroko, Courtney Pine, Moses Boyd, Bill Frisell (with Gregory Tardy), Joe Lovano & Antonio Faraò and The Bad Plus. Add Jalen Ngonda, Durand Bernarr, Alex Isley, Young Gun Silver Fox, The War & Treaty, Annie & the Caldwells and Kofi Stone, and there’s barely a quiet corner across the weekend.
New generation and emerging talent
True to the festival’s roots, 2026 puts real weight behind emerging artists. The New Generation Jazz stage returns with the likes of ORBIT and the Tomorrow’s Warriors Junior Band, One Jazz showcases contemporary acts such as QOW Trio and Sula, and Bands & Voices blends live music, movement and community-led workshops.
Late nights in the fields
The after-dark programme expands again this year. Friday opens at Supreme Standards with Anderson .Paak performing as DJ Pee .Wee, alongside Horse Meat Disco and Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy. Across the weekend, curated takeovers from Mr Bongo, re:sonate and Tru Thoughts bring global sounds and rare selections — Aroop Roy, Mr Thing, Nick The Record, J-Felix, MzRizk and more — deep into the night.
Beyond the music
Love Supreme has always been about more than the stages. 2026 brings wellness and yoga sessions, a dedicated Kids Area with interactive activities, two Supremium VIP areas, an on-site Ottolenghi restaurant, and the returning Jazz Lounge of artist interviews, talks and screenings.
