Low Calorie Margarita Recipe

Happy Hump Day! We’re halfway through the week which means it is completely okay for you to celebrate with a drink. It was National Margarita Day on Monday, an odd holiday but one that Bjournal are totally on board with and extremely sad about missing, but to make up for it, why not try this low calorie but seriously delicious margarita. Not only does this margarita taste nicer but it is actually much healthier for you (providing you only drink one or two…not ten). Many restaurants and bars make their margaritas with mixers that contain corn syrup and all sorts of ingredients you can’t pronounce and we can’t spell but this recipe contains only natural simple ingredients. Happy belated Margarita Day!

Ingredients

Ice
45 ml 100-percent agave blanco tequila (I use Espolón or Herradura)
25 ml fresh lime juice
15 ml ounce Cointreau

Method

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau. Shake the ingredients together until chilled, strain into a rocks glass filled with ice, and enjoy!
