A man who was last seen in Brighton on 27 July, is wanted by Sussex police after breaching the terms of his licence.

Jake Griffin from St Leonards, was released from prison on 3 July after serving part of a 10 year sentence for robbery and possessing an offensive weapon, that was imposed at Lewes Crown Court in March 2012.

However after breaching the terms of his release licence, he is now wanted for recall to prison.

Sussex Police have given the following description of Griffin in a hope to appeal to anyone who may have seen him.

He is described as “white, about 5″6″, of slim build with brown hair”.

Significantly, the Police have also stated that Griffin has a “3 inch scar on his face”.

A spokesman for the Force said there have been confirmed sightings of Griffin since he went missing, in Hastings and St Leonards.

There is also some information that indicates he may have gone to Scotland, however these reports have not been confirmed yet.

Police are urging anyone who has any information regarding the whereabouts of Griffin to contact them immediately, adding: “Anyone who sees Griffin or knows where he is, is asked not to approach him but to contact police via 999 or 101, or online, quoting serial 1610 of 27/07.”
