Europe’s largest outdoor jazz festival, Love Supreme, returns to Glynde Place, East Sussex from July 3–5, 2026, with headliners Ezra Collective (Friday), Loyle Carner (Saturday) and De La Soul (Sunday) — the latter performing their only UK full band show of the year. Anderson .Paak, Sister Sledge, The Temptations and Gabrielle are among more than 30 acts already confirmed, with further names still to be announced.
Brighton Journal Local Angle
For Brighton and Hove music lovers, Love Supreme is effectively a home festival — Glynde Place sits just eight miles from the city centre, making it one of the most accessible major festival weekends in the UK calendar. With three full days of main stage programming confirmed for the first time in the festival’s history, 2026 represents the most ambitious edition yet for an event that has become a genuine cultural anchor for the region every summer.
Love Supreme is back — and the 2026 edition arrives with a line-up that covers six decades of Black music in one East Sussex field.
Ezra Collective headline Friday night, but their involvement goes beyond a single set. The Brit Award and Mercury Prize winners will curate the entire opening day programme, titled Temple of Joy, bringing together artists who reflect their influences and collaborative ethos. It marks a full-circle moment for the band, who first played Love Supreme as an emerging act in 2016 — a show they have since described as a career breakthrough.
Saturday belongs to Loyle Carner, making his Love Supreme debut in the headline slot. The British rapper and songwriter’s jazz-infused hip-hop has earned him one of the most loyal audiences in UK music, and a festival built around the intersection of jazz and contemporary Black music is close to a perfect fit.
Sunday’s headliner is the announcement that will draw the longest queues. De La Soul — the revolutionary alt-jazz hip-hop outfit whose back catalogue was finally released on streaming platforms in 2023 after decades of legal battles — perform with a full band for their only UK show of 2026.
A Supporting Cast Worth Arriving Early For
The undercard is where Love Supreme consistently earns its reputation. Anderson .Paak appears as DJ Pee .Wee, his alter ego behind the decks. Sister Sledge, Gabrielle, The Temptations and The Four Tops, and Courtney Pine bring serious heritage weight. Samara Joy and Esperanza Spalding represent the current peak of American jazz, while Moses Boyd and Kokoroko fly the flag for the UK jazz scene that has made global headlines over the past five years.
There are deeper cuts worth noting too. Loose Ends, the British R&B outfit whose 1985 hit Hangin’ on a String made them the first UK act to top the US Billboard R&B chart, make a welcome appearance. Bill Frisell, celebrating his 75th birthday this year, performs alongside saxophonist Greg Tardy. And Durand Bernarr, whose recent album won Best Progressive R&B Album at this year’s Grammys, is one of the most exciting names on the bill for those paying attention.
What Else to Expect
Beyond the music, 2026 brings a new restaurant, expanded wellness and yoga sessions, a larger kids area, two Supremium VIP areas, and the returning Jazz Lounge featuring artist interviews, talks and screenings. Late-night sets in the woods continue via the Blue In Green stage.
