Peter Duncan (actor and 80’s presenter of Blue Peter, Duncan Dares and the UK’s former Chief Scout) has announced the return of Panto Online’s critically acclaimed productions of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and Pantoland – all in time for this year’s Christmas panto season.
Panto Online started at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, when Peter created his own online pantomime for audiences across the world to watch on screens, big and small – a magical combination of theatre and film streamed into homes and schools (as well as a national cinema release). It has since gone from strength to strength, with a growing number of audiences enjoying the online festive theatrical treat each year.
Peter Duncan said: “I’ve just reached 70, moved to the heart of countryside where I tend to a flock of sheep, grow my own food, dig ponds, manage ancient woodland and immerse myself in rewilding. I’m trying to create an off-grid community of family and friends that’s bursting with creativity away from the tumbling autocracy of the future! Beaming out from these woodlands are one of the UK’s finest art forms ‘The Pantomime’ witty, interactive and mostly beloved by the inhabitants of the British Isles.”
A family ticket for all three pantomimes is just £15 (this covers friends and families watching them together and they can be viewed multiple times). There are also great video packages available for schools, community groups and care homes. An activity pack is available for schools with themes around the primary core curricula including drama and dance workshops. Book online at pantoonline.co.uk.
