Already looking forward to the end of lent? Paper Daisy Events are bringing local businesses together at the Brighthelm Centre for a day of Easter fun for all the family. The idea of the Easter Boutique Market is to get the people of Brighton shopping local and enjoying themselves for a good cause.
With more than 50 carefully selected businesses including makers, artists, crafters, and cooks coming together, there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Browse adorable gifts from family-run craft shop Luna May Gifts of West Sussex, or pick up some gorgeous hand-made jewellery from Glitter & Gem. Other confirmed attendees include master upcyclers TwoShortPlanks, talented anatomical artists Protease Prints, and the pet-loving SnuggleSack.
Once you’ve shopped until you drop, head outside to grab some delights from Soul Street Kitchen. They will be serving up barbecue-style treats from the southern states of America including smoked pulled pork rolls, Louisiana-style catfish, and beef brisket chilli.
With stalls inside and a street food market outside, there is so much more on offer than just shopping. There will also be live music from local musicians in the gardens, plus lots to keep the kids busy including fun outdoor games, face painting, and an appearance from the Easter bunny.
It’s all in aid of Chestnut Tree House, a local children’s hospice which cares for 300 Sussex youngsters with progressive life-shortening conditions. Less than 7p in every pound is funded by the government, so Chestnut Tree House relies heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.
The market will be open from 11 am until 5 pm on Saturday 15th April. The address is The Brighthelm Centre, North Road, Brighton BN1 1YD. Entry will be free!
