Brighton- born, international recording artist, Passenger, will be performing in his home town this bank holiday Monday as part of his UK busking tour, and what’s more – it’s free!
The English singer-song writer, most famous for his hit single ‘Let Her Go’, has a host of award wins and nominations under his belt. Most notable is his 2014 Brit award nomination for ‘Let Her Go’ as Best Song, and the winning of British Academy’s Ivor Novella Award for Most Performed Work. The video for the song has racked up an incredible 1.8 Billion plays (you can have a listen too – just click here), so we’re guessing quite a few people may turn up to see him for free.
Passenger, who’s real name is Mike Rosenburg, is no novice to busking, having done a very similar busking tour two years ago in 2016. However, after a small hiatus, Passenger is returning to streets of the UK, to coincide with the release of his new single, ‘Hell or High Water’. The busking tour also comes ahead of his official 2018 European tour, which kicks off in August.
Time and location for the busking set are being kept pretty under wraps – nothing has been let slip so far. Anyone interested has just been told to mark themselves as ‘Going’ on the Facebook event, and all will become clear on the day.
The four-stop tour starts tomorrow on the 25th May in Glasgow, followed by Manchester on Saturday, London on Sunday, leaving the best until last, with Brighton on Monday 28th May.
So, if you’re a Passenger fan, keep your eyes firmly glued on his Facebook page over the weekend – if you can’t wait until Monday, make sure you look through the current videos of him busking on YouTube. Click here to have a look at our favourite!
