Police have found a large quantity of heroin in a car they stopped on Norton Road, Hove. They stopped the car because of suspicions that the driver was dealing drugs from inside the vehicle.

Hove prevention officers that were on patrol pulled the vehicle over on Monday 29th January at 2.05pm. The driver then refused to open the car door. The police feared he might drive off, and so smashed the window and pulled him out. They arrested him on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs.

PC Nick Simmons said: “We found more than 50 wraps of heroin along with cash. It was a good spot by officers who reacted quickly and made an arrest.”

Anyone who witnesses drug dealing or has information about drug dealing should report it to police.
