Over the weekend athletes Coco Gauff, Brigid Kosgei and Simone Biles absolutely smashed it in their respective sports. With their amazing wins they broke world records, pushing the boundaries for women’s achievement in the sport’s world.

Olympian athlete Simone Biles made history at the World Championships on Sunday by becoming the most decorated gymnast ever. She beat men’s gymnastics champion Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 23 medals. And as if 24 medals weren’t enough, she went on to win another one in the floor exercises. At 25 medals, she has become the most decorated gymnast of all time.

Meanwhile in Tennis, 15-year-old prodigy Coco Gauff won the WTA tournament. The tournament in Austria didn’t start off smoothly for Gauff, and she lost in the qualifying rounds. However, she got another chance to get to the final when another player pulled out. She took it and won, making it to the final and defeating Jelena Ostapenko 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. As well as winning the tournament, she also beat Nicole Vaidisova’s record as the youngest WTA winner since 2004.

And that’s not all. Brigid Kosgei not only won the Chicago Marathon for the second year in a row. She also beat Briton Paula Radcliffe’s world marathon record. Kosgei ran 26.2 miles in 2 hours, 14 minutes and 4 seconds. That’s more than a minute off Radcliffe’s time, which remained unbeaten for 16 years. After winning, Kosgei said to the Guardian that she thinks she could go even faster. “I think 2:10 is possible for a lady,” she said. “I am focused on reducing my time again.”
