Authorities have warned residents to avoid the area after a two-storey building collapsed in Brighton on Sunday morning.
Brighton & Hove City Council confirmed the collapse occurred at the former Sprabuild Engineering Works on Ryde Road. The area has been cordoned off for safety.
Residents living on nearby Hartington Street, Carisbrooke Street, and Ryde Road are being advised not to enter their gardens until the site has been fully secured.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident shortly after 8:00 BST, dispatching three fire engines to the scene. Gas and electricity engineers also attended to disconnect utilities and prevent further risk.
The council stated it will continue working with fire crews to carry out a full structural assessment of the building on Monday.
