Unlimited pizza, free-flowing drink, live music and staff dancing on the bar in lederhosen, what’s not to love? With a Bavarian inspired setting, plenty of drinks to choose from and an atmosphere that encourages everyone to let their hair down, the Absolutely Après bottomless brunch at Barbara’s Bier Haus in Brighton is designed for groups looking for more than just food and a couple of cocktails.

The first thing that stands out is the value on offer. The brunch includes unlimited margarita and pepperoni pizza, with gluten free options available, alongside a generous selection of drinks. Guests can enjoy house lager, Barbara’s Bier, Kopparberg Apple cider, house spirits and a range of popular cocktails such as Mojitos, Long Island Iced Tea, Aperol Spritz, Watermelon Gin Bull and Strawberry Daiquiris..

One of the most fun parts of the brunch is the self-serve cocktails or beer on tap on the table. Being able to head up and pour your own drink adds a fun interactive element that you don’t often find at a bottomless brunch.

The pizza is another highlight. Whole fresh pizzas arrive regularly throughout the session and the staff do an excellent job of ensuring tables are never left waiting for more. The simplicity works perfectly. Good pizza, served continuously, alongside a steady flow of drinks is exactly what most people want from a bottomless brunch and Barbara’s Bier Haus gets that balance right.

Service throughout the brunch is excellent. The team are friendly, attentive and always seem to appear at exactly the right moment. Drinks are topped up quickly, empty plates are cleared away efficiently and there’s a sense that the staff want guests to have a great time. Dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndls, they fully embrace the venue’s Bavarian theme and help create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

Entertainment is where Barbara’s Bier Haus really comes into its own. During our visit, a live band performed a set packed with well known party favourites, creating a fantastic atmosphere and getting guests singing along from early on. Once the live music finished, the party continued with a playlist of classic crowd pleasers that kept the energy levels high. The staff even joined in the fun with choreographed dances on the bar to a range of cheesy tunes.

Overall, Barbara’s Bier Haus offers a bottomless brunch that delivers exactly what it promises with good food, plenty of drinks, excellent service and memorable entertainment to create an experience that stands out in Brighton’s competitive brunch scene.

The Verdict – 5 stars
