Brighton i360 Santa in the Sky, Ice Skating at Royal Pavilion and Afternoon Tea at DoubleTree by Hilton

5 stars

We kicked off the Christmas season with Santa in the Sky at the i360, meeting Santa above Brighton’s twinkling skyline. The team made us feel welcome from the start and the excitement built as we stepped onto the pod, where Santa and his elves were there to greet us.

As we rose 450ft above Brighton, we soaked up stunning views of the coastline and countryside. Santa’s arrival had the kids completely wrapped up in the moment, especially when they each got a special gift. It was a fun and quirky way to celebrate the holidays that everyone enjoyed.

Brighton i360’s partnership with Little Moons brought some extra seasonal flavour to the experience. I opted for the Golden Apple Sparkler—a festive mocktail with apple juice, cinnamon syrup and ginger beer, finished with a shimmer of gold. It came paired with a cinnamon bun mochi that hit just the right note.

Next, we laced up our skates at the Royal Pavilion’s ice rink. Skating under the Pavilion’s glowing lights was a treat, creating a lovely atmosphere for a winter’s evening.

There were penguin aids for younger skaters and staff were there to offer a hand whenever needed.

The Christmas fun continued at The Metropole Restaurant in DoubleTree by Hilton with a festive afternoon tea that felt like a real treat.

We tucked into everything from savoury sandwiches like smoked salmon and truffle egg mayonnaise to sweets like scones with clotted cream and Christmas pudding cheesecake. The kids loved their own selection with star-shaped sandwiches, cake pops and colourful cupcakes.

A huge variety of teas rounded off the experience perfectly, giving the afternoon a cosy and elegant finish. It was a great way to spend a festive day in Brighton, with lots of activities, tasty food and plenty of Christmas cheer for the whole family.
