Gamestars drag brunch. Selected weekends – The Walrus, Brighton

5 stars

Gamestars bottomless brunch at The Walrus on Ship Street is where brunch meets pure entertainment. Down in the lively basement, this brunch featured drag performances, gameshows, food and bottomless drinks for an unforgettable afternoon.

The vibe hits the moment you arrive with friendly staff, music playing, water already set on tables and a warm atmosphere. Food comes first. Options like the Big Breakfast Bun or Eggs Benedict offer all the classic brunch comfort you need before the bottomless drinks started flowing.

And when they say bottomless, they mean it. For 90 minutes, mimosas, prosecco, beer, cider and soft drinks were flowing, thanks to attentive waitresses who kept up with the crowd’s thirst.

At the heart of the experience is drag queen Ophelia Payne. Armed with razor-sharp wit, incredible vocals and playful banter, Ophelia keeps the energy high and the laughs rolling.

Whether leading games like Higher or Lower and Pictionary or singing disco favourites, they know how to work a room. Drag artist Alik adds to the magic with two fierce performances, including a standout Lady Gaga medley that was pure fire.

By the end of the afternoon, the entire room is on its feet, singing, dancing and fully embracing the fun as Gamestars brunch became a full on party.

Rebecca, who coordinated the event, made sure that everything ran smoothly, helping out with the games and visiting tables to make sure everyone was happy.

If you’re after good food and drinks and the kind of fun that’ll have you laughing for days, this is the place to be.
