It’s almost wedding season which means we are seeing the new trends for this year. In recent years we’ve seen an increase in more affordable bridal ranges, with the likes of ASOS announcing they were branching out into affordable bridal wear and just recently, Self-Portrait released their own bridal range which is set to be released worldwide in February.
The capsule collection is designed for the ‘untraditional bride’ and is inspired by the ‘modern day, laid-back Self-Portrait girl and the rock ‘n’ roll ethos of Bianca Jagger and Pattie Boyd’. The collection maintains the traditional bride aesthetic but with contemporary necklines and Victorian-inspired collars. It’s also affordable. Designer Hon Chong said ‘Women spend so much money on a dress they’ll wear once, I wanted to create a dress they can wear again and again and again’. Each of the six designs will be available in the UK, launching in Selfirdges, Net-a-Porter and on the Self-Portrait website, with prices between £650-£1000. Check out the collection below.
