A Brighton school in need has been saved by the designer of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band artwork, Sir Peter Blake.

A Brighton school facing cuts has received a little help from their friend, Sir Peter Blake, who co-designed one of The Beatles’ most famous album sleeves.

The artist donated a limited edition box set of five Brighton-inspired prints to the school in need, having visited it three years ago.

Middle Street Primary School is hoping that the art will raise some much needed funds for them.

Being one of 60, the box set is priced at £1,250 with tickets for the raffle selling for £5 each or 5 for £20.

The Art Republic Gallery in Bond Street, Brighton will be supplying the tickets for the raffle.

The school in question started the year with a significant budget deficit. Now, according to the School Cuts website, the school may face an estimated reduction in funding of about £120,000 by 2021.

Fingers crossed the raffle raises some much needed funds for the Brighton school!
